What’s on in 2019?

Dales’ VIP Parking

Fair goers who have purchased advance Dales‘ VIP parking should use the Banana car park (just above the Eden Project Visitor Centre). For other visitors assistance will be available via the Land Train (kindly sponsored this year by Camel Creek) between the Visitor Centre and the Fair itself. For those with mobility issues, assistance between the car parks and Visitor Centre will also be available.

Dig out your Old Shopping Bags

Lillicrap Chilcott are once again sponsoring the iconic limited-edition jute shopping bags, however, in the spirit of reuse and recycle, visitors to this year’s Cornwall Christmas Fair are being asked to bring along a favourite vintage shopping bag.  All those sporting an old bag at the event will be entered into a prize draw to win a day’s pass for two to Swim Club at Watergate Bay Hotel with a two-course lunch for two in The Living Space.

Cornish Gin O’Clock

‘Best of Bublé’ singer Tom Cary, sponsored by Lillicrap Chilcott, will ensure the evening goes with a swing as he provides the soundtrack to Cornish Gin O’Clock during the Preview & Shopping Evening on Wednesday 13 November 2019. Between 5pm and 6pm a Cornish G&T chosen from a selection of Curio Spirits Company Gins and Navas Cornish Tonic Waters will be available to visitors, in return for a donation to Macmillan.

Do come and join us!

The Great Coodes Christmas Cake Off

Returning after a spectacular debut in 2018 is The Great Coodes Christmas Cake Off. Thanks to many fantastic bakers in Cornwall who are happily making Macmillan a homemade Christmas Cake in addition to their own family bakes, the fruitcakes of their labour will be on sale from the groaning Christmas Cake stall.

Join in with the ‘Guess the Weight’ Competition for a chance to win!

Cornwall Christmas Fair Grand Prize Draw

Once again organised  by Santander, the Cornwall Christmas Fair Grand Prize Draw is a fabulous fund raiser and always popular with visitors. Prizes very kindly donated for 2019 include a three night stay for two (including dinner and breakfast) at Hell Bay Hotel on Bryher in the Isles of Scilly and an evocative oil painting of Porthgwarra from the cliffs, by artist Ben Taffinder.  In addition David Linley has donated an exquisite ebony jewellery and watch box, The geometric pattern on this Henley Macassar Box is characterised by dramatic Macassar ebony segmented by sycamore stringing.

Remember you need to be in it to win it!

Our popular Tombola

Sponsored by Walker Crips, our popular Tombola can be found as usual in the Eden Kitchen. In addition to prizes kindly donated by local businesses across Cornwall, all stall holders will donate a prize. After it’s successful launch last year the £5 Golden Tombola, will be offering a varied selection of experiences and services to lucky winners.

Break with beer

A new feature for the 2019 preview evening, take a break from shopping in fine style as you enjoy a bottle of delicious craft beer from a selection of Cornwall’s finest breweries at our Craft Beer Bar. Thanks to Piers Thompson of St Austell Brewery, a special collection has been curated to cater for all beer tastes!
