Festive Sparkle Returns to the Eden Project
Eden’s iconic biomes will once again turn green to mark the opening of the county’s most vibrant Christmas Fair this November. Raising absolutely vital funds for Cornwall’s cancer patients, this year’s Cornwall Christmas Fair will take place at the Eden Project on Thursday 14 November with a Preview & Shopping Evening on Wednesday 13 November.
The twinkly Eden Kitchen, between the two Biomes, will play host to an enticing mix of Christmas gifts, home accessories, clothes, jewellery and mouth-watering produce in the Ginsters Food Hall. Significantly, the stallholders – some of whom will be making their first appearance in Cornwall – donate 15% of all takings to Cornwall Macmillan.
This year sees two new sponsors, Nixon Design and Dales, joining longer term supporters including Ginsters of Cornwall, Lillicrap Chilcott, Walker Crips, Santander, Jarrang, South West Water, Camel Creek, Wild West, Headland Printers, The Old Ship Hotel, St Austell Brewery and VoiceGroup. Back for a second year after its dazzling debut is the Great Coodes Christmas Cake Off, selling an array of Christmas cakes baked by volunteers across Cornwall.
Hosts, the Eden Project will again be generously offering free admission to all ticket holders on the day of the Fair.
“The Fair is about far more than Christmas shopping and revelry,” explains Co-Chairman Kate Holborow. “Now in its 28th year and organised just by a team of volunteers, the event has become a lynchpin for raising vital funds, all of which go direct to Cornwall Macmillan. We’ve got a number of exciting new initiatives for 2019 and are looking forward to a sparkling and successful couple of days.”
